MEET THERAPIST
Jocelyn Pelley
—
Jocelyn (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who lives, works, and raises her family on the unceded traditional territory of the Secwepemc Nation. She is committed to providing a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood. Her counselling approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with a focus on building meaningful relationships and developing practical strategies that support lasting change.
Jocelyn has worked in the education system for over 15 years in a variety of roles. She holds a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Physical and Health Education, a Special Education Diploma, and more recently, a Master of Education in School Counselling. Born and raised in Kamloops, Jocelyn has also lived and taught abroad, experiences that broadened her perspective and deepened her appreciation for diverse cultures.
Jocelyn has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent youth, adults with intellectual disabilities, parents raising neurodivergent children, individuals navigating fertility challenges, and those connected to the adoption triad. Through both professional and lived experience, she understands that every person has a unique story and that behaviour is a form of communication. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, she strives to create a supportive space where clients feel safe to be themselves without fear of judgment.
Outside of counselling, Jocelyn enjoys spending time with her family, running (or sprinting after her kids), staying active outdoors, and chasing the sunshine whenever she can, with a good book in hand.
Jocelyn offers sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 3pm. Her session rate is $150/50 minute session.
